Sample Preparation
01 Specimen Collection Container
1) Cryovial
2) FFPE tissue section slide
02 Sampling Method
1) Fix in place using a method suitable for the tissue in question.
03 Storage Temperature and Period
1) Tissue: Store at –80℃ or using liquid nitrogen, to be received within 12 months.
2) FFPE: Root temperature
04 Sample Amount
1) Tissue: At least 0.5g
2) Paraffin-embedded tissue: 10~20mg (at least two slides that are 1cm2 in size and 5~10um in thickness)
2) May increase/decrease the required amount depending on gene and mutation characteristics.
05 Precautions
1) Tissue must be kept frozen at all times, and necessary measures should be taken to prevent melting.
2) When it comes to FFPE, there will be differences in the genomic DNA quality extracted according to the storage period, which makes it unsuitable for analyses requiring high quality. The extracted genomic DNA may be analyzed after determining quality control (PCR).
