Sample Preparation
01 Specimen Collection Container
1) Filter paper specifically for dried blood spots (DBS)
02 Sampling Method
1) Disinfect the fingertip with alcohol and let it dry. Then pierce it with a sterile lancet.
2) Make sure that the blood seeps sufficiently into the front and back sides of the dotted circle on the paper.
3) Dry the paper sufficiently at room temperature after collecting the sample.
03 Storage Temperature and Period
1) To be received within 12 months in a dehumidified state at room temperature after it is dried.
04 Sample Amount
1) At least two-thirds of the circle must be stained with the blood, front and back.
2) May increase/decrease the required amount depending on gene and mutation characteristics.
05 Precautions
1) The alcohol must have completely evaporated from the fingertip before a sample is collected.
2) At least two-thirds of the circle must be stained with the blood, front and back.
